Ray walked through a smaller park in the city, Miki at his side. After Ray had gotten him kicked out of his old tree, he had resolved to himself that he was going to help Miki find another place to live. The cherry blossom trees were all starting to get into full bloom, their petals falling all over the ground.

Looking around at the trees, Ray frowned as he remembered how the other tree spirits had found the two of them together. And how they had ridiculed Miki and attacked him. But it was probably best to keep those thoughts out of his mind. "Do you see any you like...?" he asked nervously.

Miki was looking with wide eyes at all the trees, a happy smile plastered on his face. "They're all so beautiful. I never imagined they would look like this..."

"Do you see any you like...?" Ray asked.

Miki paused and looked around. "I love them all but... even if some are uninhabited they still have spirits in other trees near them..." He sighed softly and shook his head. "Let's forget about that for now and just have some fun!" He smiled and ran for the nearest tree, climbing up into its pink spattered branches.

"Eh?" Ray said confusedly as Miki rushed past him into one of the trees. Smiling a bit at Miki's engery, Ray ran up to the tree that Miki was already in, climbing up after him. Sitting on one of the branches, Ray looked down a bit, still feeling guilty. "I'm sorry we even have to be looking for somewhere for you to live. If it weren't for me...you'd still have a home..."

Miki looked at Ray for a long time, then climbed onto a branch above him. He grabbed a smaller branch and shook it rigorously, making the petals fall from their flowers and float down over Ray. Miki giggled and hung upsidedown infront of the other. "Don't worry about it, I'm happier than I ever was in that tree over there."

Ray looked up as he heard Miki climbing a little higher, just in time to be nearly covered in sakura petals. Wincing a bit and brushing the petals from his face, Ray chuckled a little, glad to hear that Miki was happier with him. "Thanks. That makes me really happy to hear you say that," he replied, hanging onto the branch tightly. "I mean, I felt really guilty after you had to leave...."

"Don't." Miki flipped down carefully and landed lightly next to Ray. "Don't feel bad.. because that just makes me feel bad..." He smiled, settling down on the branch. "And that just ruins all our fun."

Ray giggled at Miki's comment. "Alright, as long as we're both happy and we both have fun then that's all that really matters," he replied, moving over towards the trunk of the tree and leaning against it. "Besides, you do like living in my apartment, right? Even thought it might just be for now?"

Miki smiled and nodded. "I love your apartment, its really nice. As long as you don't mind my being there, I'd love to stay." He let his legs fall to either side of the branch and swung his legs back and forth. "Besides... I think I like passing as a human better than living as a tree spirit."

"That's good then," Ray said, smiling as Miki said that he was happier pretending to be a human then being a tree spirit. "I'm glad you like my apartment, I know it's small and all, but now that I have someone else living in it, I moved out of my dorm at school. Besides, I'd rather save up my scholarship in case I need to go to school for another year or so."

Miki giggled happily and leaned forward, looking up into Ray's eyes. "So I get to stay with you? If just for a bit longer?" He eyes lit up and he smiled brightly, reaching up to grab a few sakura blossoms from the branch above him, placing them in his own hair.

And speaking of places to go," Ray swung his leg over the branch. "Wanna go head someplace to e- oh wait...sorry. I forgot you don't have to eat. Sorry...I'm just getting a little hungry..."

Miki smiled and shook his head. "I don't mind going with you to eat, you know that." his gaze fell a little, his expression becoming a bit sad, "I'm just sorry I can't share a meal with you.. it seems to upset you sometimes."

"It's ok..." Ray said, not really sure why he was upset. "I don't know really why you not being able to eat with me upsets me. It just seems like something so simple to humans...but I dunno, eating just seems like more then just a necessity... Does that make any sense at all...?"

Miki blinked, then nodded a little. "I think I do.. maybe its because eating together is sort of a social thing? Even if I'm there, but not eating, it may not be the same." He sighed softly, swinging his legs back and forth. "I really don't know what will happen if I try to eat though.."
